Biography

It's an honor to serve as your principal this year!
I'm Kristin Steely, and this is my 12th year working at Elkhart I.S.D. and my second year as Elkhart Elementary's Principal.

My educational background includes an Associate's Degree from T.V.C.C. as an E.M.T.- Paramedic, a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas, and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University. I will always have a servant's heart and a love for teaching. I believe teaching is a very noble profession that helps shape a student's future.

My husband, Chad, serves on our school board and works for Enforcer Educational Services. We have been together for 21 incredible years, and we could have never seen the many blessings bestowed upon us and those yet to come.

As a mother of two rambunctious little boys named Camden and Ashton, anytime I am not at soccer, I try to explore new places and jump at the opportunity to travel. In past years I have traveled with Elkhart High School students to Ireland! I feel being a part of the Elkhart Independent School District is a new adventure each day. I'm also a member of the Palestine Rotary Club and enjoy service project work.

I am looking forward to working with your child another year and working together as part of the Elkhart team.
