hi my name is Megan Weber and I'm the new elementary and intermediate music teacher for the 2020 to 2023 school year and I am so pumped to be here this is actually my dream job I grew up in Elkhart my family lives here I'm familiar with the area and this is not the exact room that I had music in growing up but this is the this is a building that I had Elementary music in I had Mr. Canaday for my band director and Kayla Kayla Wilson the middle school now Middle School band director I went to school with her both in high school and in college so it's it's home here it's really exciting that I get to be here I'm looking forward to getting to do musicals with every single grade this year from pre-k through fifth grade, we're going to be putting on performances for you the parents and for the kids' enjoyment I'm really looking forward to it I love music so much and I got my musical foundation in this school and it was so exciting for me to be able to give that to children in the school to it's my first year I don't have a lot of experience but I did have the privilege of getting to student teach at Rice Elementary in Tyler Texas I absolutely fell in love with teaching Elementary music at that school that experience made me realize if that's what I want to do with my life that's the thing that I want to dedicate my life to the teaching you guys and your kids parents who were watching this music and playing games with music and having fun and celebrating it also learning how to how to feel your emotions using music and it's such an amazing tool to learn with but also to express yourself and I'm so excited to get to teach this class and to grow as a teacher and an artist for several years to come in this position we're going to have a great year and I'm looking forward to it so much
