Our Principal

It's an honor to serve as your principal this year!

I'm Kristin Steely, and I am proud to be entering my 15th year with Elkhart I.S.D. and my 5th year as Principal of Elkhart Elementary. My journey in education began with an Associate's Degree in E.M.T.-Paramedic from T.V.C.C., followed by a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas, and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University. With a servant's heart and a passion for teaching, I believe education is a noble profession that shapes a student's future.

Outside of my professional life, I cherish my 24-year journey with my husband, Chad, who works at Enforcer Educational Services. Together, we have been blessed with two sons, Camden and Ashton. When not at work, I love exploring new places and seizing every opportunity to travel; I've even accompanied Elkhart High School students on a trip to Ireland. Engaging with our community is another joy, as a member of the Downtown Rotary Club of Palestine, where I participate in various community service projects.

I look forward to another wonderful year working with your child and collaborating with the entire Elkhart team.
